General
scope of work: This position requires hands
on functional user support to resolve issues and/or
lack of understanding (BaaN function) quickly and
provide functional application training as required.
Coordinates business process requirements and writes
detailed description of user needs, program functions,
and processes to develop or modify. May require formal
documentation and/or presentation of the recommended
solution to the management team. Develops detailed
description of user needs to finalize detail system
specifications for external development. Task requires
technical skills to understand data base structure
and relationships. Assists in the testing of software
enhancements and/or modifications in conjunction with
the functional user to ensure the business objectives
are achieved and software functions correctly. Assists
in the planning of user training on the business applications
supported for manufacturing, purchasing, planning
and inventory management. Utilizes sound project management
skills to attain business objectives in a timely and
efficient manner. Promotes an associate relations
environment that is consistent with long-term management
objectives.
Education
requirements: Four-year degree in Computer
Science, Business, or equivalent field desired. Equivalent
experience and/or education may be substituted.
Skills
required: High level of proficiency in ERP
Tools, Oracle, UNIX, report writer or related support
products and other client/server technologies. Experience
with any ERP package, solid knowledge of manufacturing
and materials concepts, BaaN experience ideal. 3 -
5 years experience in a manufacturing, financial or
distribution environment preferred.
Exceptional communication skills, a good listener
and skilled at constructively facilitating dialogues
to a satisfactory
conclusion.
