Description: This privately-held company is
the leading manufacturer of private label wet wipes,
baby wipes, antibacterial moist towelettes, and personal
care products in the United States. The company founded
in 1957,and this plant was established in 1974. Gross
annual sales are $200 million at the Mooresville facility.
Corporate-wide gross sales are $560 million. There
are 450 employees at this site, and 1,800 employees
corporate-wide.
General
scope of work: This position will lead improvement
projects in the manufacture of health and beauty products
that are sold over the counter. It will support line
start-ups and capital projects in an effort to minimize
waste materials (some which were formerly collected
by a recycler). This position will work with Improvement
Initiative Teams to expand the projects to all areas
of the manufacturing arena and thereby transfer the
technology into manufacturing in an effort to achieve
sustainable outcomes.. The position will work with
engineering process design for aseptic packaging,
direct and indirect thermal processes, fluid mechanics,
DI water, and CIP systems. It will lead water process
improvement trails. It will work in a regulated environment
that adheres to FDA, USDA, and 3Dairy standards. It
will adhere to ISO, OTC, and cGMP requirements.
Education
requirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
ME degree is preferred.
Skills
required: A minimum of 7yrs of manufacturing
floor experience some of which should be with a FDA
regulated product. Exposure to aseptic thermal processes
with water conservation. Capital equipment project
level work. Experience with recycling of waste material.
Strong computer skills including: Project 2003, Word,
Excel, Access, Power Point, and especially AutoCAD.
