Scope of Work: This position will supervise the purchasing
department, and is a leadership role for the coordination, oversight,
and execution of purchasing related activities. This includes procuring
critical raw materials and monitoring equipment repair activities. Actively
manage complex energy related requirements and contracts. Develop and
implement purchasing strategies and vendor relationships to drive financial
success. Work with all appropriate plant personnel to understand the
plant requirements and to meet those requirements in a timely manner.
Proactively research cost savings and value added opportunities. Actively
participate in overall buy initiatives. Develop and execute appropriate
bidding procedures. Negotiate pricing and terms and conditions on purchased
items. Leadership role in coordinating the drafting, negotiation and
execution of purchase agreement contracts, including for financially
significant and complex capital equipment purchases. Responsible for
developing, documenting, and continuously improving appropriate internal
control and TS quality system procedures. Leadership role in managing
contractual on-site independent contractor requirements and agreements,
including the applicable insurance requirements. Education
requirements: Bachelor of Science degree is required. Skills
required: Able to handle multiple tasks, thorough, ability
to negotiate complex contracts. Strong supervisory skills. Innovative.
Bottom line driven. Aggressive about one's career. Type of personality
